Foreign residents in Torrevieja can take part in a new programme designed to help them understand local services, find their way around the town and become more involved in community life.
Pangea Integra will run every Tuesday during October, with four sessions planned for October 6, 13, 20 and 27. The programme is open to foreign residents regardless of how long they have lived in Torrevieja or their administrative status.
Programme begins with local services
The first session, Know Torrevieja’s Resources, will introduce participants to useful local services and explain where they can obtain information, advice and support.
The Pangea Office will also present its new Integration Guide, which covers local resources, services and administrative procedures.
The opening session is intended to give foreign residents practical information about the different forms of assistance available in Torrevieja and where to turn when they need help or guidance.
Residents can discover community life
On October 13, the Life in Torrevieja session will introduce participants to local customs and traditions.
It will also provide information about opportunities to join associations, activities and community initiatives, helping residents find ways to become more involved in life around the town.
A week later, on October 20, participants will head out into the town for Discover Torrevieja.
The cultural visit will cover Torrevieja’s local history, heritage and traditions, giving residents an opportunity to learn more about the place they now call home.
Final session shares residents’ experiences
The programme concludes on October 27 with a session bringing together residents from different countries.
Participants will have an opportunity to share their experiences of settling in Torrevieja and adapting to everyday life in the town.
Anyone requiring more specific assistance can also arrange an individual appointment with the Pangea Office for further guidance.
The four-week programme is open to foreign residents regardless of the length of time they have been living locally or their administrative status.
Places for Pangea Integra are limited, and advance registration is required.
