Fancy enjoying some real Spanish culture and traditions in October? You are in luck as San Pedro Alcantara Feria is back for 2026, running from October 13 to 19 and everyone is welcome to join the celebrations.

Opening night, giant heads, lights and fireworks

Tuesday, October 13 begins in the early evening with a parade of ‘gigantes y cabezudos’, towering figures and big-headed costumed characters that children just adore. Then at 9pm the official lights are switched on and the fairground opens up with a spectacular firework display.

Funfair rides for all ages

Rides open at 7pm from Friday to Sunday, with something for everyone, big or small. Wednesday, October 14 is Children’s Day, with special ride prices of €2.50 and €3.50 from 7pm. Noise-free sessions run on Wednesday and Friday evenings for those sensitive to loud noises, then Thursday afternoon is all about the little ones with a children’s show with bouncy castles and workshops at 6:30pm.

Stalls, flamenco dress and horses

Stalls will line the fairground with a huge choice food and drinks, open daily from 1pm. On Wednesday at 6pm, you are invited to wear traditional flamenco-style outfits. That day is also Dia del Mayor, a celebration for older residents with lunch and live music.

Horse lovers can watch rides around the fairground from Wednesday to Saturday, with riding contests also on Saturday. On Monday, the ‘concurso de enjaezamiento’ sees horses dressed in wonderful decorated harnesses.

Free concerts and live music

You will not be short of things to listen to as Friday October 16 brings popular electro-pop band OBK and Modestia Aparte at 11pm. Singer Pasion Vega performs on Saturday at 9pm and Camela, the much-loved pop-flamenco band, close the music on Sunday at 11pm.

All three concerts are at the auditorium and best of all free, with entry open until capacity, so arrive early to not miss out. Smaller stages add an 80s night on Thursday, a Friday tribute to Andalucian rock bands Triana and Medina Azahara, and a Saturday an afternoon-into-evening party will be held for the younger ones

Free shuttle buses usually run from the boulevard and the church, with parking for 1,200 cars and a pedestrian underpass. Check the council’s channels for this year’s arrangements, full scheduling and line up.
