Major Tom Storm inspires charity afternoon

Major Tom Storm, a rescue cat who survived a serious illness, is the inspiration behind a charity afternoon supporting local cat colonies in Benijofar.

The fundraiser takes place at De Bonte Molen on Wednesday, October 14, from 4:00 PM, with live music and a grand raffle helping to raise money for three local cat charities.

Major Tom Storm became the namesake for fundraising efforts supporting feral and community cats around the Costa Blanca, particularly in the Benijofar and Quesada areas.

His story will now help generate further support for volunteers caring for local cat colonies, including Colony Cats, one of the groups benefiting from the afternoon.

Donations help volunteers care for local cats

Local cat charities rely heavily on donations and community fundraising to continue their work, which can include feeding colonies and providing ongoing care for cats living on the streets.

The October event gives residents an opportunity to support this work while enjoying an afternoon of entertainment in Benijofar.

Money raised will help three local cat charities continue their efforts, with Major Tom Storm’s story providing the inspiration behind the fundraising event.

Live music and raffle boost fundraising

Visitors can enjoy live music throughout the afternoon, while the grand raffle will provide another way to contribute to the fundraising total.

The event is open to anyone wishing to support the local groups, and those planning to attend are encouraged to reserve a table in advance.

The fundraiser takes place at De Bonte Molen, Calle Aneto 2, 03178 Benijofar, on Wednesday, October 14, starting at 4:00 PM.
