Grab your dancing shoes and your most sparkly outfit, because a glamorous evening with a real purpose is almost sold out in La Cala de Mijas.

A night of dinner, dancing and entertainment

Do you fancy having a go at the rumba or a giving the samba a little whirl? Well you can, as Strictly Olivias: Dancing for Dementia is taking place on Thursday, October 22 at Olivia’s La Cala, kicking off at 7pm and going right through until 1am.

Professional dancer Alberto Andrada will perform a Latin American and Ballroom display with his students Jaks and Renate. Later in the evening, Alberto will invite guests onto the dance floor to learn a few “sexy dance moves” of their own, so two left feet are no excuse.

What your €60 ticket includes

Tickets cost €60 per person and include drinks on arrival plus a delicious three-course set menu with wine and water. Of that price, €10 goes directly to charity, with further fundraising activities taking place during the night.

Funds raised go to the Lions Alzheimers Group, which also supports the event. Studies have linked dance to better mood and stronger social connection for people living with dementia, which makes a night of music and movement a fitting way to back the cause.

Anyone who cannot make the evening can still lend a hand. La Cala Lions have just launched their cheeky 2027 charity calendar, La Cala’nder Girls!, which recreates favourite musicals and costs €10 from the La Cala Lions Charity Shop.

How to book your place

Dress to impress, bring on the bling and pack your dancing shoes to support those who need it most.
