Mojacar will add a new attraction to its cultural offering this weekend with the opening of a Toy Museum at the town’s Centro de Arte. The museum will be inaugurated on Saturday, October 24, forming part of a busy autumn programme that is bringing exhibitions, music, theatre and family activities to the municipality through to December.
Toy Museum opens at Centro de Arte
Mojacar will add a new attraction to its cultural offering this weekend with the inauguration of a Toy Museum at the town’s Centro de Arte.
The museum is due to open on Saturday, October 24 at 6:00 PM, forming part of Mojacar’s autumn cultural programme, which continues through to December.
The Toy Museum opening adds another permanent cultural element for residents and visitors, while providing a particularly family-friendly reason to explore the town outside the main summer season.
Painting exhibition begins on Friday evening
The new attraction follows a busy October programme of music, theatre, literature and art organised at venues around the municipality.
The Centro de Arte will also host a painting exhibition linked to the children’s workshop of artist Jose Ramon Paris on Friday, October 23 at 8:00 PM.
Together, the exhibition and museum opening will give residents and visitors two cultural events to enjoy at the Centro de Arte over the weekend.
Music and theatre continue through November
Mojacar’s programme continues throughout November, with music and theatre performances scheduled at the Centro de Usos Multiples.
These include Acordes y Palabras on November 6 and Patanas Cervantinas on November 13, extending the autumn cultural programme beyond this weekend’s museum inauguration.
The variety of events provides entertainment across several areas of the arts while encouraging cultural activity outside Mojacar’s busiest summer months.
Disney Day joins Christmas lights switch-on
Families will also be catered for later in the month when Mojacar holds its Disney Day and Christmas lights switch-on on November 28.
The Toy Museum inauguration, however, provides this weekend’s main addition to the town’s cultural calendar, taking place at the Centro de Arte at 6:00 PM on Saturday.
