IN a bid to revive its beekeeping tradition, Colmenar has created a pioneering training course in beekeeping and honey production. The origins of beekeeping in the village date back to the 18th Century.
The apiculture course began on Monday and continues until Friday at the Honey Museum.
Currently there are fewer than 10 local beekeepers that form part of the Malaga Association of Beekeepers.
