UNION Comisiones Obreras has brought a formal complaint against the Ciudad de Berja Home for the Elderly for failing to pay its staff.
According to CCOO, the company, Asociacion de Servicios Aser, has been paying staff irregularly and late for the past months and have failed to pay them what they are owed, telling them simply that the decision lies with the head office in Madrid.
The union has reported them to the Almeria Social Security and Work Inspection.
The provincial health union formerly sued the company but an agreement was reached in July in which they promised to pay the wages and the extra payment pending from June. However, this still hasn’t happened.
