TOP DOG: Show for Helping Hands.
THE first Annual Fun Dog Show organised by Helping Hands was held this month at the marina of Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel in Aguilas. Dogs of all shapes and sizes came along with their owners to take part in the many competitions.
Animal charities, Ibizan Hound Rescue, Buddies, San Animal Santuario and Asociacion Protectora de Animales, Jose Maria Parraga all came together to sell items to raise funds to support their good work.
Helping Hands was formed one year ago and consists of a small group of people, of different nationalities, with the common goal to help those who cannot help themselves, animals and people alike and to support the good work already being carried out by existing charities.
Fundraising through events, mostly now held at the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel throughout the year, enables Helping Hands to respond to requests for assistance and give their supporters top class entertainment.
They recognise that times are hard and never expect something for nothing. Many local businesses supported the show with sponsorship of classes.
