VICTORY Day was celebrated in Garrucha by about 30 people of different nationalities.
The event to commemorate the expulsion of the Nazis from the former Soviet Union was organised by the New CCCP.
The New CCCP Russian association organises cultural events and has Russian language classes on Sundays.
Some EWN readers went to the Victory Day event, which included a barbecue lunch and performances by the younger Russian language students.
STUDENTS: Children reciting poetry and singing in Russian.The majority of the New CCCP members are from Russia or the former Soviet Union, but the association’s president, Masha Sedova said all nationalities are welcome to join and attend events.
