FISH farms in Huelva have become victims to a spate of robberies. Some businesses have lost up to €30,000 worth of their fish each week.
One of the farms was hit three times in a week.
The perpetrators are believed to belong to an organised gang.
There are believed to be at least six members, according to the victims’s reports.
“While one distracts security, the others enter the farm and look for the fish tanks,” one of the fish farmers told Spanish newspaper El Mundo.
“Each time we are hit they take around 300kg of fish and sell it on the black market.”
