TWO in 10 families in Malaga City live on less than €7,200 a year.
This is below the poverty line and is reportedly due to many family members being unemployed.
Twenty-two per cent of people in an Income Inequality Metrics study have ‘a lot of difficulty’ making ends meet each month.
In contrast, 4.7 per cent of people in Malaga ‘find it easy’ to do so.In more than 59 per cent of families who have monetary problems, the head of the family only has up to primary school level of education.
This brings to light the link between the level of education and poverty.
