ALMUÑECAR visited Ciudad Real to capture tourist interest.
The mayor and president of the Municipal Tourist board, Trinidad Herrera and the president of the Hoteliers Association of the Costa Tropical, Rafael Lamelas have visited the capital of the La Mancha region in support of the campaign.
Almuñecar tourism board has a stand in the Eroski shopping centre, El Parque, where tourist information is being distributed to visitors with the aim of attracting them to La Herradura and Almuñecar as a holiday destination.
The campaign will run for two weeks hoping to catch the last minute travellers for the Easter week. At the same time there are publicity drives on digital screens, advertising boards, as well as on local radio and television stations.
Co-ordinator for Tourism, Rafael Caballero, said it is the first time that the campaign has gone out of Andalucia. This is due to the number of visitors from La Mancha to the tourist office in Almuñecar last year. He pointed out the ease of access by car and the importance of connections with the AVE train to Malaga, which is only 40 minutes away.
