PC manufacturers Dell have reported a fall in profits during the current conflict surrounding the company’s future
Dell which continues to be the centre point of an ownership battle between founder of the company Michael Dell and investor Carl Icahn has reported a significant fall in profits.
The second quarter profits are reported to have seen a 72 per cent fall which is over €152million, as a result of the existing global decline in PC sales.
The current battle also hurting the corporal image stems from Mr Dell, who still owns a 16 per cent claim in the business, attempting to return the company to private ownership with partner Silver Lake. However, Dell is opposed by Mr Icahn who holds an 8.7 per cent stake and believes that doing so will undervalue the company.
