THE “Salvem el Molinar” platform has developed momentum in hopes of avoiding a sizeable expansion of the yacht club.
Plans include a rise in the number of moorings from 75 to a projected 315 and would increase the size of club facilities seven-fold. Amongst other issues, protesters claim the plans will ‘desecrate’ the traditional figure linked to Molinar. Meanwhile, the ‘Mes per Palma’ coalition has also conducted surveys for passersby to garner public support for their rejection of the club’s plans.
