Almeria singer David Bisbal has collected the award for ‘Best Selling Spanish Artist’ at the World Music Awards 2014 held in Monaco. The singer put on a great performance of his latest hit song ‘Diez mil maneras’ at a gala filled with international stars such as Mariah Carey, Ricky Martin, Miley Cyrus and Leona Lewis.
It is the first international award for Bisbal with his new album ‘Tu y yo’, an international multiplatinum album, which debuted at number one in 19 countries.
In Spain it became the biggest selling album during the first week of sales in the last five years.
This is the second award for Bisbal at the Word Music Awards. The first award came 11 years ago with the release of his first album.
After a successful promotional tour in Latin America, the most anticipated tour of the year in Spain begins on June 14 in Almeria before stopping off in another 26 cities.
