THE National Police have arrested three young thieves in Almeria, who were caught stealing from house basement storage rooms.
The thieves had forced open the storage lock ups and taken items which were easy to move and sell, like bicycles and tools.
The three young men, two Spanish and one Lithuanian are being held in custody after allegedly being the offenders of various robberies in Almeria. One of the accused already had a warrant out for his arrest issued by the Penal judge in Court no 1 in Almeria.
The investigation started after several residents reported the store room thefts to the local police. The pattern used was always the same, force open the store room door and steal objects that could be sold quickly, work tools, bicycles and easy disposable objects.
Following leads into the thefts, it was found that the main perpetrator had a pattern of past break-ins with a similar pattern, held a criminal record and was on the run from police.
