THE good news for the tourism industry continues, with Malaga getting 10 per cent more visitors in January than in the same month of 2014,
During January, the province received a total of 199,246 tourists, according to the data released by the Socio-economical Observatory of Malaga’s Development and Quality Foundation (Madeca).
Spanish residents who visited Malaga numbered 93,493, which represented a15.6 per cent growth.
In terms of international tourists, the figures also increased by 5.3, with the arrival of 105,753 tourists.
Overnight occupancies grew by 4 per cent over the same month the previous year, reaching a total of 709,029.
Flights to the Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport increased by 2.1 per cent, with 5,657 flights in total.
