Council learns about local youth

A SOCIOLOGICAL study has been carried out by Rincon de la Victoria Council to learn more about the town youth’s attitudes and activities.
Head of the Youth Department, Borja Ortiz explained that the study was conducted amongst young people of ages ranging between 14 and 30 years, including both those registered and not registered in the padron, who work and take part in local social life, inside and out of the town.
The report indicates that young people in Rincon have varied interests, are dynamic, and that alcohol consumption rates are quite low amongst them.
“The study was carried out to obtain data to help the council understand their most urgent needs,” said acting mayor of the town, Francisco Salado.
A total of 962 surveys were carried out between November of 2014 and April of 2015, through which the town council is expecting to create new measures and policies that are supportive of local youths.
