Italians say Benvenuto to Malaga produce

ITALY has been announced as the country that imported the largest amount of fresh food produce from Malaga during the first three months of 2015.
Italy received more than 15,700 tonnes of agricultural food products that generated income for the province of almost €45.7 million, according to the data released by the Exterior Commerce Institute (ICEX).
Italian sales represent 20.4 per cent of the total agricultural food products exported from the province.
Italy was followed by France with 17,145 tonnes and more than €38 million revenue generated (17 per cent of the total market volume). The third position was taken by Portugal, with 12 per cent of the total (15,000 tonnes) and €27 million.
In total, Malaga has exported in the first three months of 2015, more than 98,000 tonnes of agricultural food products generating €223.6 million, which translates into 26 per cent increase if compared with the numbers registered last year (€177.8 million).
