JIMENA’S castle provides a stunning backdrop for a multicultural concert.
THE tenth edition of Jimena de la Frontera’s music festival will be running from July 9-12 in three different locations.On Thursday 9, a classical concert gets events going from 8.30pm onwards at the Reina de los Angeles chapel, with performances from Coda, Orquesta Joven, Bridge Wartet from London and Nairobi Chambers Chorus.Then the following evening it’s flamenco time at the same setting, with Macarena Andrades, Salvador Andrades and his group, Arte y Compas and Nairobi Chambers Chorus on stage from 9pm.On Saturday 11, a multicultural concert starts at the castle at 10pm, and on the Sunday the final show will be at 10pm on the Plaza de la Constitucion, starring Compas Flamenco and Pro Pane Lucrando groups.
