THE best side of Frigiliana is now showing as several improvement works on its streets and squares have been completed.Acting president of the Malaga Provincial Government, Elias Bendodo, visited Frigiliana on Thursday (July 2), together with the town mayor, Jose Antonio Gonzalez, and both had the chance to see for themselves some of the works funded by the provincial institution. One of the most remarkable results has been the improvement and embellishment of the Plaza Tres Culturas, which had a total cost of €10,000. Work included the set up of new street furniture, plants and flowers in gardened areas and replacing the existing balustrade with a new one adorned with a symbol depicting the three cultures which have historically marked the town: Christian, Jewish and Arabic.Elsewhere, paving in children’s parks has been replaced with new materials authorised by current regulations, which also had a cost of €10,000. Other work included improvements to the seniors’ centre of the town and the complete renovation of the roundabout at Calle Rosarico la Joaquin.
