Torremolinos gets cleaning

TORREMOLINOS has launched a new intensive cleaning campaign to meet popular demand and improve cleaning and rubbish collection services in the town.
The new project, which will be permanent, has meant creating 10 new posts at Litosa municipal cleaning company.
“We want to make an effort to improve the quality of life of residents and make a good impression on visitors,” said Employment and Municipal companies councilor, Carmen Garcia.
Particular attention will be paid to La Colina, Costa Lago, Los Alamos, Cuesta del Tajo, Calle Peligros, fairground and seafront promenade areas, with extra sweeping and rubbish collection planned to improve residents’ quality of life and make the best possible impression on visitors.
The campaign has joined one already in place on the beaches for the summer with between six and eight workers and three tractors in service every day until September.
