SUMMER has brought relief to Costa Blanca unemployment levels as Murcia and Valencia have both registered fewer jobless people in June. While Spain´s national figures for unemployment hover around the 24 per cent mark, seasonal work on the Costa has helped lift it out the doldrums.The Employment and Social Security Ministry reported that Murcia ended the month with 127,832 people registered as unemployed, 2,781 fewer than at the end of May, while Valencia had 481,623 (6,748 fewer).In Alicante, 4,226 fewer people out of work and 4,112 new workers paying into the social security system were reported, which according to COEPA business group was the highest number in nine years.
