BENIDORM has begun a series of courses teaching elderly citizens the finer points of social networking.The courses are being taught in the Llorca Linares Social Centres in the city and the first set of courses will take place using brand new equipment: eight laptops and a printer have been purchased for the new ICT course.Councillor for New Technologies Lourdes Caselles visited the class on Wednesday July 1. She said: “The courses are designed to help the elderly and also disadvantaged groups to gain a useful knowledge of IT.”Included in the programme are 157 courses involving 2,100 students from various groups and also immigrants.
