A FLIGHT bound to Alicante was forced to make an unscheduled stop in France over concerns it was running low on water. The easyJet flight from Newcastle to Alicante was diverted to Charles de Gaulle airport as it had a limited water supply, causing a two-hour delay for passengers.A spokesperson for the airline confirmed the captain took the decision as a precaution only and in line with procedures to take on more water to ensure the welfare and safety of passengers. The water that was running low is used in boilers which make hot drinks and in the toilets.
