A NEW poll has found support waning for the radical new Spanish party Podemos, which was recently polled as the second most-supported party and a possible government come election time at the end of the year.A survey released on Sunday (July 19) now puts Podemos on 15 per cent of the vote, still the third biggest party but falling behind mainstream rivals, the socialist PSOE party, with just over 25 per cent. The ruling conservative PP kept the lead on 29 per cent. The poll for the right-wing newspaper ABC suggests that Spanish voters are swinging back to a preference for the two traditional parties, with analysts saying the ongoing crisis in Greece, where Podemos has given open support to the left-wing government of Syriza, has frightened some voters back to the mainstream.
