Dolca residents warn of confidence tricksters

RESIDENTS of Dolça have reported a pair of scammers to the Alcoy Police who are now searching for two bold confidence tricksters who posed as inspectors to enter the homes of elderly people in the neighbourhood.
The pair would knock on doors under the pretence of conducting a review. While one of the men distracted the occupant of the apartment or villa the other would seize the opportunity to steal valuables.
Residents, especially elderly citizens, are warned to be on the lookout for seemingly plausible inspectors and to check identification carefully.
