BUTTERFLY skin sufferers will have better access to treatment thanks to an agreement between the Debra charity in Marbella and national and regional health department representatives.Negotiations have led to the institutions agreeing at the latest Interregional Health Department meeting to finance materials required by sufferers of the rare skin condition, meaning they will be able to collect bandages, disinfectants and creams from health centres free of charge.Debra charity was born in Marbella in 1993 and has three charity shops in the city and one in Malaga. It aims to raise funds for the more than 1,000 families in Spain living with butterfly skin, an incurable condition resulting in extremely fragile skin which can literally fall apart at a touch.
