Firefighters dampen down at site of Riviera del Sol fire

A FIRE which broke out this evening (Friday 14) in the Riviera del Sol / Calahonda area appears to be under control with Mijas firefighters remaining on the scene to dampen down.

Two aircraft were brought in to control the flames and appear to have quickly calmed the blaze.

Meanwhile Infoca fire fighting and prevention service aircraft have left the scene of another two fires in San Roque and Manilva. Ground staff and fire engines remain in both areas to supervise and cool the areas overnight.
