Sohail Castle Fuengirola.
FUENGIROLA culture councillor, Rodrigo Romero, has announced that the €3 charge for visiting the Sohail Castle has been scrapped and that members of the public will be able to visit the castle free of charge every Tuesday to Sunday between 10am and 2pm.
The councillor said that: “Our aim is to bring a new perspective to Sohail Castle and its surroundings, boosting it as a cultural area. We want this area to change, because this place remembers past Phoenician, Roman and Arab times. Therefore we want to improve all the area in order to make it worth visiting.”
Sohail Castle is located by the mouth of the river in Fuengirola, on a small, isolated hill 38 metres above sea level with superb views.
