WHILE watching the Oscar nominated movie The Revenant on Valentine’s Day, six viewers sustained injuries when part of the cinema roof caved in, reports from February 15 confirm.
The incident happened at a mall complex in the Spanish city of Valladolid, which had been hit by stormy weather in the hours preceding the roof´s collapse.
Inside the affected cinema, 42 people were already on the edge of their seats when the ceiling gave way, watching Leonardo DiCaprio´s character Hugh Glass, who fights for survival in the unforgiving American wilderness.
Four people were taken to hospital while one woman and a child were treated at the scene, after emergency services attended.
Local police took to twitter to confirm that all six hurt were treated for minor injuries.
