OKTOBERFEST: Different parts of the island will celebrate the iconic German cultural extravaganza.
OKTOBERFEST gets underway on Mallorca with the beer festival from September 29 right through until the end of October. Different parts of the island will celebrate the iconic German cultural extravaganza at different points, with Santa Ponsa leading the way by unleashing the first barrels.
Buses are being organised to the south-west from Palma and festival goers will be able to catch a Bavarian orchestra, games, darts, enormous glasses, sausages, pretzels and sauerkraut over the weekend.
The main Oktoberfest shenanigans will leave Santa Ponsa on October 12 and then, after a quick breather, start up again in Palma’s Son Fusteret on October 20, though of course there’ll be thousands of smaller parties raising the roof in every corner of Mallorca.
