Lucky swine has bacon saved after hogging road in Logroño

A LARGE pig had its bacon saved after trotting down a motorway in Logroño, La Rioja, and bringing vehicles to a standstill.

A quick-thinking driver managed to grab a short video of the hilarious event, which has gone viral on Spanish social media.

The road hog is chased by a man, who is presumably the animal’s owner, but the unconcerned piggy simply marches on before being shepherded to the side of the LO-20 dual carriageway.

A parked vehicle further up the road may belong to the hapless herder, and it remains unclear if he was successful in his quest to apprehend the curly-tailed fugitive.
