Snow leaves hundreds trapped on motorway in Valencia

HUNDREDS of vehicles were trapped overnight on a motorway in Valencia due to the snow.

An estimated 500 people were still stuck on the A-3 outside Valencia by early Friday morning (January 20), with some having been trapped there for more than 13 hours.

Emergency services are working on clearing the roads however heavy snow has slowed progress.

Around 1,600 vehicles were reported to be trapped on roads across the Valencia region on Thursday.
