One ‘pedestrian’ dead after seven vehicle smash on major road in Spain

ONE person has died in a multi-vehicle traffic accident on a major road in Spain today (Thursday).

Police have reported that one female pedestrian was run over and killed on the carriageway and two other people have been injured – one seriously.

The accident happened this morning on the A-2 at Fornells de la Selva in Girona.

Three fire crews, four ambulances and eleven Mossos police patrols attended the accident which forced the closure of the road, leading to diversions and tailbacks of traffic.
