Officers of the Badajoz Local Police working on a separate tip off found a worker who currently has an expulsion order on him from the National Police.
The officers were alerted to the establishment after an emergency health and hygiene inspection was carried out at the property. The 112 call was made after workers were observed moving large parcels of meat products from the boot of an unrefrigerated vehicle directly inside.
On interview, the three 25kg parcels were determined to be for human consumption and were quickly seized with an investigation underway in determining the source of the produce.
Within minutes a health and hygiene representative was on the scene and carried out a full inspection of the property, it was during this that the worker was identified to the police.
The man in question, working as a waiter, was detained by local police and transferred to the National Police station where procedures are now underway.
