Unnecessary speeding fines on RM-12

THE speed camera on the RM-12 leading to La Manga has reportedly photographed a number of vehicles legally travelling under the speed limit and issued unnecessary fines.

The speed limit is set at 100km/h on this section of the road but the cameras were incorrectly calibrated to photograph motors travelling at 90km/h.

Victims of the speed trap will have to contest the fine as they can’t be annulled automatically.
