CUEVAS de Almanzora council meetings are set to be streamed live. The local council said the streaming plenary sessions was part of a series of initiatives aimed at “improving the public’s direct access to municipal information.” “One of the challenges for this government team is to boost the transparency of the local entity and bring the municipal administration closer to residents, improving on the existing channels of communication”, commented Cuevas Mayor Antonio Fernandez Liria. The local authority requested provincial government assistance for the initiative under the Diputacion de Almeria’s 2019 Economic Assistance Plan. The assistance will be used to install new equipment in the Town Hall with a direct streaming system for plenary meeting, as well as for other public acts.
