BREAKING NEWS: Search team finds body of missing pensioner on Costa Almeria

A SEARCH team has found the body of the pensioner who went missing in San Jose in the Cabo de Gata natural park on Saturday, the Emergencias 112 Andalucia service reported. Members of the Andalucia Plan Infoca wildfire service came across 75-year old Pedro Morales Sanchez in the Pozo de los Frailes area at midday on Monday. No information has been released about the circumstances or possible causes of death of the pensioner, who suffered from Alzheimer’s. The hunt for Pedro began immediately after a call to 112 mid-morning on February 29 reporting his disappearance. Guardia Civil, Local Police, Infoca, Levante, Poniente and Almeria service firefighters, environment agents, health emergency staff and Civil Protection members from Nijar, Carboneras, Tabernas, Garrucha, Turre, Huercal-Overa, Pulpi, Cuevas del Almanzora, Los Gallardos, Vera, Mojacar, Almeria, Velez-Blanco, Laujar de Andarax, Berja and the Diputacion took part in the search operation. They were joined by Pedro’s family members and friends.
