Finestrat’s Environment department will be hunting down tiger mosquitoes until next September

FINESTRAT: Fumigating areas that attract mosquitoes credit: Finestrat town hall

FINESTRAT’S Environment department is fumigating public areas to eliminate tiger mosquitoes.
Operatives are currently focusing on storm drains, the La Cala stream, Font del Moli, the Bassa de L’Hambra water deposit, Font de Carre park and other humid areas.
Once completed, the fumigation team will move on to Finestrat’s urbanisations and rural areas under a programme that continues until September.
The town hall is also distributing leaflets, available from municipal offices, informing the public of easy ways to prevent the mosquitoes from breeding.
