Cantarrijan beach is popular out of season as well Credit: Almuñecar Council
LA HERRADURA which is closely associate with Almuñecar has a number of nudist beaches and one of the very popular ones is Cantarrijan but during the summer months, you may not drive down to the beach. There is a free car park just off the N-340 and you can either walk down to the beach (although the climb back will be strenuous) or take the shuttle bus which is run by the Junta de Andalucia and is very cheap. The beach itself which is popular until mid-September has a number of services for tourists and there are two different busses making the transfer every day, with a third added at the weekend.
