WATCH – FOREST FIRE blazes in Granada as dozens of firefighters battle the flames More than thirty emergency workers from the Plan to Fight Forest Fires of the Community of Andalucia (Infoca Plan) have been battling to subdue the flames in the municipality of Juviles in Granada on Sunday morning, January 31. Infoca posted on Twitter that 32 firefighters, an operations technician (TOP), an environmental agent and two fire engines reported to the scene shortly after 10am to deal with the blaze.

Once the fire is brought under control, experts from the Nature Protection Service (Seprona) of the Guardia Civil will investigate to establish is if it was a deliberate act. In addition, a team from the Forest Fire Investigation Brigade (BIIF) of the Junta de Andalucia will estimate how many hectares of trees were destroyed in the incident.
