THE MAYOR of Albox in Spain’s Almeria finally leaves ICU after 51 days.
The Mayor of Albox has been fighting the potentially deadly Coronavirus, and his family have now been able to confirm that after 51 long days in ICU, Mayor Francisco Torrecillas has been able to leave the intensive care unit. According to the family the Mayor has now been moved to a different ward at the University Hospital Torrecádenas de Almería.
The Mayor’s family have been able to confirm that his condition has improved and they have expressed their gratitude to the dedicated hospital staff that have been treating him. The mayor left the ICU ward on Tuesday March 30, after a staggering 51 days.
The family said, “We are very grateful to the hospital staff for their professionalism, closeness and affection with him, and with all the patients who are here.
“We would also like to thank so many people who have been interested and prayed for his improvement.
“Please be careful, it is not a game, be responsible.
“Long live the VIRGEN DEL SALIENTE and the people of ALBOX!!!!
“Little by little and without stopping….”
The family released a statement via the Albox town hall.
