The Municipal Active Ageing Summer Programme of Nerja, in the province of Malaga, aims to promote physical activity and socialisation among the elderly.

The Nerja Town Hall is launching a new edition of its Municipal Active Ageing Summer Programme, which will start on July 4. Registration is now open and can be done at the Municipal Office of Attention to the Elderly, located on the ground floor of the Town Hall.

The councillor for the Elderly, Elena Galvez, who was accompanied by the councillor for Sports, Daniel Rivas, said: “The activities will take place both on Burriana beach and in the swimming pool of the Municipal Sports Centre. With this programme, we aim to improve the quality of life of the elderly of Nerja and Maro, through sporting activities that promote healthy habits.”

The Municipal Summer Active Ageing Programme is aimed at people over 65 or pensioners over 60 who have been officially registered in the municipality for at least four years, are in a suitable physical condition and are holders of the Nerja Senior Citizen Card.
