Large Swedish police and military presence has been reported in response to alleged drone activity over a military facility in the west of the country.

Swedish Royal Armed forces are dealing with an incident this evening, Thursday, October 20, involving drone activity over a military facility on the west coast of the country. The situation was reported online by Sveriges Radio which said the military had requested police help in handling the incident.

Freelance journalist Mikael Berglund said: “The information we have received is that there must have been drones over a military facility during the afternoon”.

There have been increased reports of drone activity following the Nord Stream pipeline incidents, with both Norway and Sweden witnessing a rise in suspicious incidents around sensitive facilities and nuclear installations.
