Elche is set to become one of the main regional stages in the sport of dance with the upcoming Fit Kid competition, taking place in May. The Regional Fit Kid Championship will see more than 550 athletes from 19 clubs gather in town from all over the Community of Valencia, and will also feature significant local participation.
Elche hosts grand dance event with hundreds of athletes
Elche has once more been chosen as the host for this grand event, and officials have invited residents and visitors to the town to spectate one of the most outstanding competitions on the regional sports calendar. Organised by the ESADE Club with the collaboration of the Elche Town Hall and the Valencian Community Sports Dance Federation, this competition is a showcase of both individual and group choreographies, and will be a qualifier for the Spain Championship, to be held in June.
Of the 19 clubs that are participating in the blowout competition, 8 of them are from Elche, showcasing the municipality’s prowess when it comes to this type of competitive dance. It also reflects the strong growth and interest in this sport among the young residents.
Elche to become a vibrant hub of dance competition in May
The competition will take place from May 8 to May 10 at the Sara Marín-María Díez pavilion, in Elche. The event is expected to deliver a vibrant atmosphere across the city, with families, coaches and supporters travelling to Elche to cheer on the young competitors.
Local businesses and hospitality venues are also likely to benefit from the influx of visitors over the three-day championship. Organisers have highlighted the importance of events like this in promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging youth participation in sport through dance. With a strong local turnout and high-level performances anticipated, the championship promises to reinforce Elche’s growing reputation as a key destination for regional sporting and cultural events.
