This summer, children and adults of all ages will be jumping for joy. Literally. For the first time ever, Almeria will be hosting FUNBOX, the world’s largest inflatable amusement park.
FUNBOX lands at Torrecardenas Shopping Centre
Until June 7, Torrecardenas Shopping Centre is hosting FUNBOX, the world’s largest inflatable amusement park. The experience has been set up as a major seasonal attraction for the city, bringing a large-scale leisure option to the heart of Almeria. According to organisers, its arrival has generated strong interest from families across the region, as well as visitors travelling just for a chance to bounce.
The launch was initially affected by poor weather condition, with the opening being postponed due to forecasts of rain. Once conditions improved, the park was able to proceed with its scheduled run at the shopping centre.
What to Expect Inside FUNBOX
Inside FUNBOX, visitors can explore a wide variety of themed zones designed for different levels of energy and challenge. There’s 4,000 square-metres of inflatable fun to explore. From giant slides and obstacle-style courses to interconnected bouncing areas, the layout encourages continuous movement. The Ninja Wall is one of the standout attractions, testing balance, coordination and endurance in a playful setting.
While this would be a memorable moment in anyone’s childhood, the attraction is not exclusively for children. The park is open to ages from 0 to 99 years old, although children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Visitors can expect a high-energy environment where movement, balance and play are central to the experience. The interconnected zones encourage continuous activity, making it more than just a traditional inflatable playground.
A one-of-a-kind attraction
Originally based in Southern California in the United States, FUNBOX has travelled internationally, transforming how people experience inflatable entertainment on a large scale. Almería is currently one of only two locations in Spain hosting this one-of-a-kind attraction.
Tickets, opening times and prices
Tickets are cheapest on Thursday’s “Fun Day”, with general admission costing just €11 for 80 minutes of fun. Tickets can be bought in advance at funboxpark.com. Booking ahead is recommended, especially during peak weekend periods when demand is higher and time slots can fill quickly.
