Marbella’s annual Social Fair is back for its 16th edition returning to Avenida del Mar on Friday, May 15, encouraging people to come and learn about important local charities, engage with support groups and find out more about volunteer organisations all in one place. Entry is free and activities will run from 10am until 6pm.
Charity groups and volunteers gather in Marbella Centre
Organised by Marbella Town Hall’s Social Rights department, the annual meeting hopes the day will connect people with community projects across the Costa del Sol. Various information stands on a variety of subjects will offer advice on volunteering, support services and ways residents can help local causes. Residents looking to become more involved in Marbella daily life are encouraged to attend.
More than 30 organisations took part in the 2025 edition, and attracted over 700 school pupils from Marbella schools and colleges. The day raises so much awareness for important health conditions, and year or year there is more public interest in local mental health initiatives and community work, that the organisers are expecting an even bigger turn out for the 2026 event.
Interactive activities planned throughout the day
Workshops and demonstrations give visitors a glimpse into experiencing some of the daily challenges faced by people living with disabilities, mental health conditions, fibromyalgia and multiple sclerosis. Activities have been designed to encourage understanding and social inclusion in a practical, easy and accessible way.
The past events have included awareness games, mobility exercises, volunteering quizzes and educational workshops organised by local associations such as Aspandem, CADI and Marbella Voluntaria.
A popular “Solidarity Passport” activity will also make a come back. Visitors can collect stamps from participating stands and exchange completed passports for a limited-edition tote bag while supplies last. An alcohol-free refreshment bar managed by Asociacion Arama is also planned for the event.
Marbella Social Fair is Friday, May 15 from 10am to 6pm. Avenida del Mar, close to Marbella’s seafront and Old Town. Visit the Marbella town hall website for more details.
