Monster truck mayhem: California Motor Show returns to Albox with high-speed action

The monstrous roar of supersized engine’s will soon be echoing across Albox when the California Motor show arrives in town. Car lovers and adrenaline junkies of all ages will be entertained when monster trucks leave destruction in their wake and real-life Transformers come to life before the audience’s eyes. For the next three weekends – May 15 to 31 – the Albox Fair Grounds will be transformed into a race track where all the exhilarating motoring action will take place. Shows will be held on May 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31, with engines roaring into life from 7.30pm. Each night promises a thrilling line-up of full-throttle entertainment for the whole family.

Race car drivers will speed around the course, slamming on the breaks to drift around corners and perform daring manoeuvres that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats. Larger than life monster trucks leave audiences in awe with the ease in which they manoeuvre around the course, flattening old cars, performing gravity-defying jumps and causing chaos along the way.

The California Motor Show combines the excitement of Hollywood-style action with the raw power of some of the most impressive vehicles on the road.

Real-life Transformers and Cars characters

More than motoring excellence, audiences can also enjoy the presence of iconic movie characters. Both adults and children will be blown away by real-life Transformers as the famous robots appear on the track in spectacular performances. Visitors can also get a closer look at police vehicles inspired by the blockbuster franchise.

Families will be eager to get a picture with the stars of Pixar’s Cars, including Lightning McQueen and Mater. The appearance of the beloved characters is expected to be one of the highlights for younger visitors, recreating the speed and charm of the hit films in front of a live audience.
