Put a white wash on and don’t spill the red wine as the the cheerful three day spring celebration, Primavera Blanca Market is taking over Plaza de la Mezquita in Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmadena, from Thursday, May 14 to Saturday, May 16. Live music, craft stalls and activities for families will all be part of the beautiful celebration.
What is the Primavera Blanca celebration
Interesting craft and delicious food stalls will line the market area, with fun street entertainment, lively dance performances, exciting circus acts and cute children’s workshops also included in the agenda. Local authorities said the event has been planned to give something for all ages, with the stunning Plaza de la Mezquita bringing alive spring-themed decoration, floral displays and white lighting throughout the celebrations.
Councillor for Commerce Raul Campos presented the initiative earlier this week, describing it as an opportunity to support local businesses and encourage greater public participation in cultural activities. Town Hall organisers added that the market hopes to promote trade, culture and tourism in Benalmadena.
Visitors encouraged to dress in white
One of the main ideas behind Primavera Blanca Market is its all-white theme. Anyone attending is being invited to wear white clothing throughout the event to create a shared visual identity, showing Andalusian spring traditions and Mediterranean sunny vibes.
Live concerts and other entertainment will be throughout the three days with nearby restaurants and businesses hoping to benefit greatly from increased footfall in the area. Entry to the market is free, with no start time confirmed.
For anyone looking for something different this weekend then head to the area, its well worth a visit for photos, to enjoy some time together, see some different entertainment and taste some local foods. Primavera Blanca Market will be held in the busy Plaza de la Mezquita. For more information visit the Benalmadena town hall website.
